The Hill’s 2024 Election Center
As Lead (and solo) Designer for DDHQ, I designed the brand identity and website design for The Hill’s election hub that covers polling, predictions, and election results. The site’s key components include visual graphics, polling charts, and results maps and tables.
I also created embeddable data visualizations to be used throughout The Hill’s homepage and article pages to drive hundreds of thousands of pageviews to the Election Center.
This project was designed and launched successfully in a short one month timeline.

Color Research and Palette Development
A large part of this project’s style guide was developing a color palette for the wide range of data visualization needs.
For the primary elections, each party required an expansive distinct 18-color palette to account for a large amount of potential primary candidates.
These colors not only had to align with The Hill’s base palette, but also have enough contrast for map and table result visualizations.
